With only two weeks remaining before entries to the Game Changer Awards close on Friday 31 January, Universities Scotland and Colleges Scotland are delighted to announce the six panels of shortlisting judges; one for each of the six categories of Award.
The judges have been chosen on the basis of the knowledge and expertise they can bring to the shortlisting process. We are delighted to have such a broad range of talents on board to help find the Game Changers in Scotland’s further and higher education sectors.
How it will work
A panel of three judges for each category will meet for a day in February to consider the full set of the entries for their category and whittle them down into a shortlist of five. It is from this shortlist of five that the final awarding panel will choose the winners.
There will be a gold, silver and bronze winner from both the colleges and higher education institutions in each category.
Who are the judges
Amongst the judges we are delighted to have representatives from Glasgow 2014, the Scottish Government, SportScotland, NUS Scotland, QAA Scotland, Research Councils UK, Scottish Development International (SDI), Scottish Student Sport, the Scottish Funding Council and the National Galleries of Scotland.
The full list of shortlisting judges can be found here: www.gamechangerawards.org/judges.
Our next blog post will reveal the final awarding panel judges who will determine the winners. In the meantime, if you are a member of staff or a student at one of Scotland’s higher education institutions or colleges and believe that you are making a contribution to the success of the XX Commonwealth Games then get your entry in for your chance to be recognised as a Game Changer!
