We love the Game Changer Logo and it makes us even happier that it was designed for us by a recent graduate of one of Scotland’s higher education institutions. Katelynne Kirk recently graduated from Edinburgh College of Art (now University of Edinburgh) with a first class BA Honours degree in Graphic Design.
Katelynne says a few words about her inspiration for the logo and identity for the Game Changer Awards:
“The most enjoyable aspect of Graphic design for me is the diversity of every project and the new things I learn while researching. My main passion is design that engages with and tries to solve issues within society. I was delighted to be involved in this project as it was an opportunity to help raise awareness about the fantastic work being done to encourage people to reach their full potential.
“While creating this identity it was important to visualise the link between Scotland’s educational institutions and the Games themselves. I sourced my inspiration from two striking symbols of success. The first was a medal, a symbol of achievement in the sporting world. The second was a graduation gown, a relevant representation of accomplishment. Both of these emblems were brought together within the logo to represent the hard work and talent recognised by these prestigious awards.”
