We are delighted to announce that Scottish comedian Fred MacAulay will act as master of ceremonies (MC) at the prestigious Game Changer Awards Ceremony on Thursday 3 April 2014 at the Old Fruitmarket in Glasgow.

As one of the most famous faces of Scottish comedy, Mr MacAulay’s involvement will be sure to add more cheer as attendees celebrate the important contributions made by Scotland’s colleges and higher education institutions to the success of the XX Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Biography – Fred MacAulay

With his popular morning radio show and a string of TV credits, he is undoubtedly one of the most famous faces of Scottish comedy today. His on screen reputation and on air witticisms are the product of years of experience on the live circuit, including a stint as the first ever-Scottish compere at the Comedy Store in London.

He arrived relatively late to the world of stand-up comedy, starting at the age of 31. He has gone on to be a regular performer at the Edinburgh Fringe (he will clock up his 25th year there in 2013) and at comedy festivals worldwide. He has been presenting the very funny and eventful MacAulay and Co on BBC Radio Scotland since June 1997.

He has successfully featured in and presented many programmes for BBC TV: he hosted three series of the talk show McCoist and MacAulay and two seasons of Life According to Fred. He also fronted Life According To Fred, Hoots and Simply Fred
